Shun politics of allegations, do development: Shehbaz

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday said that people do not like negative politics of levelling baseless allegations, and instead want development and progress while claiming that public would vote for Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) in the general elections of 2018 based on party’s performance.

The CM said that politics of lies would meet its logical end and the process of development and prosperity would continue. He maintained that development and progress is the right of people, which no one can deprive them of.

Those who halted the journey of progress are the actual enemies of the public, he added. The CM said that he had served people considering it as a noble deed and even his last breath would be dedicated to serving the nation.

Today, Pakistan is more peaceful and economically developed as compared to the past and people are benefiting from the completion of energy, education, health and infrastructure projects, he added.

He said that Pakistan is moving forward on the road to development due to the balanced policies of the Pakistan Muslim League-N. The agenda of public welfare is being carried out successfully and the whole world is surprised on the completion of energy projects in a record period of time, he said.

Shehbaz Sharif said that transparency and standard of the PML-N government were not only acknowledged by national institutions, but also by the international organisations.

He said that Punjab has performed better than all other provinces of the country in various fields, adding that politics of the PML-N is based on development and progress.

The PML-N leadership has always preferred the politics of values which is the reason that people admire us, he said. Just like the Senate elections, PML-N would also win

general election this year, he concluded.
