  • PSP chief too alleges horse-trading in Senate polls

Echoing concerns raised by other politicians, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal has also claimed that ‘horse-trading’ took place in the Senate elections.

However, Kamal was thankful that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) couldn’t win its seats as he termed the party “a tumour” which can’t be cured with a “panadol”.

I have no personal enmity with MQM but it has been selling the mandate of the Muhajir nation for the past 30 years, Mustafa Kamal told reporters in Karachi on Sunday

It may be noted here that MQM-P only managed to secure a single seat in the Senate polls, which it attributed to the ‘horse-trading’ by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

However, Kamal claimed that the MQM-P women members voted for the PPP out of anger for Kamran Tessori, adding that 14 members of MQM-P sold their mandate.

Kamal taking a jibe at Farogh Nasim said that he remained a senator for the past six years but never raised a voice for the rights of Karachi citizens.
