All Muslim Leaguers should unite, say Arbab, Chaudhrys

 

LAHORE: Former Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim called on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi at their residence here Sunday.

PML Secretary General and MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Kamil Ali Agha, Muhammad Basharat Raja and other party leaders were also present during the meeting.

PML leaders said that the circumstances demanded that all Muslim Leaguers should unite on one platform as the country was divided in provincialism. They called for the elimination of provincial prejudices, unity of the motherland and pulling it out of problems and difficulties.

Speaking on the occasion, Shujat Hussain said that those having faith in two-nation theory had gathered at the platform of Muslim League and established Pakistan. “For accomplishing the objectives for which Pakistan was created, we will have to unite all Muslim Leagues again so that the country does not face crises every day and the problems of common and poor man can be solved,” he added.

He further said that the nation should get such leadership which demonstrates good intention, vision and has the best capabilities.

Arbab Ghulam Rahim said that the unity was also essential for freeing the nation from shackles of different mafias. “Muslim League is the party which created Pakistan and it alone can safeguard its security, solidarity and unity and take it to new destinations of progress,” he added.
