SARGODHA: By-polls in the provincial assembly constituency PP-30 Sargodha will be held on Sunday.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed all arrangements in order to hold transparent and peaceful by-polls.
A tough contest is being expected between the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The total number of registered voters in the constituency is 1,73,919 out of which 98,145 are male, whereas 75,774 are female.
At least 137 polling stations have been set up in the constituency for the by-elections.
137 presiding officers along with 417 assistant presiding officers and 834 polling officers would be assigned duties on the polling day.
There will be heavy security in and around the polling stations throughout the polling period, which will begin at 8:00 am in the morning and continue till 5:00 pm in the evening without any break.
The seat was fallen vacant due to the death of former PML-N MPA Chaudhry Tahir on January 8, 2018.
