ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza on Friday directed the removal of all hurdles in the way of smooth media coverage of Senate elections on March 3 in the Parliament House and all four provincial assemblies.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the CEC held a meeting with the ECP secretary on the matter and directed to ensure that the media fulfils its professional responsibility by covering the Senate elections just like it did last time.
He said that media’s role was extremely important in the Senate elections and there should be no hurdles in the way of smooth media coverage.
