ISLAMABAD: On the directives of Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the Constitution Avenue has been opened for the general public after nine years.
All the barricades, including heavy containers, were removed from the Constitution Avenue. However, keeping in view the security situation of the federal capital, personnel from the police force, Rangers and the Quick Response Force of police would continue their duties in the area.
The area was previously closed to the general public nine years back during the rule of former military dictator Pervez Musharraf due to which the general people had been facing many difficulties.
