ISLAMABAD: In order to set an example, the Law ministry on Wednesday proposed public display of bodies of those executed for child sexual assault and murder, reported a local English newspaper.
While briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice, Malik Hakim Khan, ministry’s senior advisor, said that public execution of such convicts will be the violation of law and Supreme Court’s judgment, therefore, the only option is to display their bodies publicly.
Senator Rehman Malik, during a meeting of Senate Committee on Interior on January 22, announced to pass a bill for the public execution of those found guilty of child sexual abuse and murder.
