PTI releases video of Shehbaz’s top 10 lies
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen on Thursday urged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to take action against Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his alleged corruption in different projects.
Addressing an emergency press conference at the party’s chairman secretariat in response to Shehbaz’s statements against PTI Chairman Imran Khan, he said, “The paragon city is the biggest scandal. Nadeem Zia is also involved in corruption while Ahad Cheema is under detention by the NAB. Many people involved in corruption can be arrested by investigation of NAB against Ahad Cheema. The NAB should take action and summon Shehbaz. The Habib Construction Company is also owned by the Sharif brothers. The public money is being looted ruthlessly.”
PTI Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry, PTI Central Punjab President Aleem Khan, MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, Shaukat Bhatti and other party leaders accompanied Jahangir Tareen.
“Whenever Shehbaz addresses a press conference while boiling with anger, it means he has been caught. Shehbaz says he does not tell a lie. But we have released a video of his top 10 lies. Faisal Subhan is not a mythical character. The Chinese delegation came to investigate him. The Security and Exchange Commission of China divulged facts about Capital Engineering. 17 million dollars were divided into 16 parts and payments were made. Security and Exchange Commission of China conducted an interview of Capital Engineering CEO Faisal Subhan and sent the interview to Pakistan. Subhan revealed in an interview to a Pakistani news channel that Capital Engineering has four shareholders but the real owners are Sharif brothers. Shehbaz should tell whether he is telling a lie or the Chinese company is. Subhan looted millions of rupees in Multan Metro Bus project. Shehbaz got huge shares of corruption money from Capital Engineering,” Tareen said.
Tareen also came hard on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz for launching a verbal attack on the Supreme Court (SC).
“They want the SC to take action against them for their criticism so that they can become political martyrs,” he said, “The decisions against Nawaz are pending with NAB and they will come in two to three weeks. The truth will come out against Nawaz.”
PTI Information secretary Fawad Chaudhry said that not a single project of the Punjab government was without corruption.
“The Sharif family owns 16 offshore companies. Shehbaz Sharif took two years to deny his relationship with Subhan. Why so?” he questioned.
Earlier, referring to the Capital Engineering CEO, who was probed for corruption allegations in the Multan Metro Bus project, Shehbaz said that Imran had presented Subhan as a mythical character.
Shehbaz said that Imran, in his allegations, said that Subhan confessed before Chinese officials, but a Chinese delegation never came to Pakistan.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan had said that Subhan confessed to the Chinese regulatory authority investigating corruption charges in the Multan Metro Bus project that Sharif family received hefty kickbacks in their overseas accounts.
