LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Moonis Elahi appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday where he remained for over an hour.

The anti-corruption watchdog had summoned the PML-Q leader as the Panama Papers revealed his ownership of two offshore companies.

Earlier, Elahi appeared before NAB on January 30th along with his financial records.

NAB has started the investigation against politicians after Supreme Court, in its last year’s notification, ordered the watchdog and government to present reports regarding development in the investigation against Pakistanis named in the leaks.

While talking to media, after the hearing, Moonis Elahi said that he answered all questions asked by NAB authorities. “I am a politician and have nothing to hide,” he said.

He further said that he will appear before institutions whenever summoned.
