KARACHI: A new twist in Intezar murder case was surfaced when the eyewitness, Madiha Kayani, claimed that 19-year-old’s murder was planned.
Intezar Ahmed was killed when Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Karahi police opened fire on his vehicle at Khayaban-e-Ittihad, DHA, Karachi on the night of January 13.
In a video message, Kayani-who was with Intezar in the car at the time of murder-claimed that Intezar had told her that his car has been marked and was being followed.
She further claimed that her life is in danger and appealed from Rangers to provide her security.
Meanwhile, the special public prosecutor on Monday appealed the trial court to include anti-terrorism clauses in the case.
The police have also submitted its report appealing for the acquittal of one of the accused, Abbas, over lack of evidence.
The court which reserved its verdict on whether or not charge-sheet is admissible and on the acquittal of Abbas will announce its verdict on February 28.
