A 12-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped by five teenagers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Shangla district, police said on Monday.

According to a complaint registered with the Alpuri police station by the boy, the victim claimed that he was gang-raped by five men who were in their late teens. The incident took place near the residence of the victim in Barari Khwar area on Sunday.

Later the police conducted a medical examination on the boy which confirmed that the victim was in fact targeted in a sexual assault. The police also registered a first information report (FIR) against the five suspects.
