SIALKOT: Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday inaugurated the newly-constructed 17.88 KM-long Sialkot-Kingra Road at Oora Chowk.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government had spent Rs 651 million on the project for providing better means of transportation to the people living in far-off villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government had completed record social welfare and human development projects across the country under the dynamic leadership of former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The foreign minister said that Nawaz Sharif ruled the hearts of people as he had put the country on the road to development, prosperity, and political and economic stability. The PML-N government had honoured all the promises it made during the last election campaign, he added.
MPs Chaudhry Tariq Akhtar Subhani, Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram, Rana Liaquat Ali and Sialkot Mayor Chaudhry Tauheed Akhtar were also present on the occasion.
