A son killed his stepmother and a man over alleged illicit relations here in wee hours on Saturday.
According to details, Asghar shot dead his stepmother Lateefan Khatoon, 35, and Zahoor alias Zubair Sianch, 38, in Sianch Muhalla Town. Later, the killer surrendered himself before the police. The accused told newsmen that he knew that his stepmother had illicit relations with Zahoor that was why he killed both.
Zulfiqar, brother of deceased Zubair, said that his brother was killed to grab money. He said his brother had four to five lakh rupees and wanted to start a small business in Ratodero along with deceased woman’s husband Akbar. He said that Akbar, father of Asghar, Manzoor, and Munir Sianch were also with the killer. He said FIR had been registered at Ratodero police station but police were not arresting other accused.
SHO Qalandar Bux Soomro said FIR had been lodged and accused had been arrested. He said further investigation was underway. After postmortem, the bodies were handed over to the heirs of both the deceased.
