EU delegation calls on PPP co-chairperson
A six-member delegation of European Union (EU) called on PPP President Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday.
While talking to the delegation, Asif Ali Zardari requested the EU to help conduct free and fair general election in Pakistan.
The PPP leader informed them that in recently past election laws were amended with consensus so that free, fair and transparent election would be ensured and now it was essential that next election should be held according to these amended laws, so mission has an important role in this regards.
He hoped that other missions along with EU monitoring mission would also visit during the forthcoming general elections in Pakistan.
The other matters related to election observers were also discussed in the meeting. Other PPP leaders Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Syed Naveed Qamar and Farhatullah Babar were also present on the occasion.
