KARACHI: MQM-P leader Salman Mujahid Baloch on Thursday failed to produce evidence supporting his allegations against the woman who accused him of sexually assault.
According to a report prepared by the Gulshane Iqbal police, Salman failed to produce any evidence to back the claims that he had made in the case registered against Aleena, the woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her.
In the report submitted to the prosecution, the police have declared it a Class C case and recommended that it be thrown out. However, the prosecution will scrutinise the report and then discuss its findings with the court.
The report prepared by the Gulshane Iqbal police claimed that during the investigation of the case filed by Salman, no evidence against Aleena was found.
The report further stated that Salman had not extended his cooperation in the investigation pertaining to the case filed by him.
Salman Mujahid Baloch, a leader of MQM-P, had filed a case against Aleena for allegedly issuing him death threats and fraudulent practices. The MQM-P leader in the FIR had claimed that Aleena lied to him about her mother being a patient of cancer and as an excuse, obtained Rs4 million from him.
Salman in the case that he registered with the Gulshane Iqbal police on January 1, 2018, had also claimed that Aleena issued him death threats after failing to make the payment.
