Balochistan govt to provide security to NGOs in remote areas

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Thursday said the government would provide security to all Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working for the well-being of citizens in far-flung areas of the province.

He stated this while addressing an event organized by an NGO called “Insaniyat Bachao”. The event was organized to mark the success of rehabilitation process initiated by Insaniyat Bachao organization.

To date, 920 drug addicts have been treated and are now leading a normal life. On the occasion, Information Secretary Mir Tayyab Lehri, Director Director General Public Relations Shahzad Farhat Jan Ahmadzai, Insaniyat Bachao Head Dr Mohammad Ramzan, other social workers and officers were also present.

The minister said that drug addicts are a financial burden on their families and demoralize the values of the society.

He said that youth are the future of the country and it is our responsibility to educate them and prevent them from social ills.
