PTI expedites membership campaign in all districts

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has decided to gear up its ongoing membership campaign in all the districts of central Punjab and all expected candidates for national and provincial assembly have been tasked to expedite the campaign in their respective areas.

In this regard, PTI central leaders on Thursday held a special meeting at the Chairman Secretariat, which was presided by PTI central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan. The leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rashid, MPAs Shoaib Siddiquee, Dr Muraad Raas and Nosheen Haamid Meraj, and party leaders including Karamat Khokhar, Jamshaid Iqbal Cheema, Aajasam Sharif, Nazir Chohan, Asghar Gujar and Mansha Sindhu attended the meeting.

Aleem said that the PTI was to compete with the party that remained in power for 25 years and now it would be the “last nail in the coffin of corruption”. He said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s struggle had become fruitful and the corrupt elements were now meeting their fate.

He called upon the party workers to come out of their houses and ensure a door-to-door genuine campaign for party membership which would prepare a nursery for the upcoming general elections. He also said that PTI chief Imran Khan would himself visit different camps and encourage those who would work hard to strengthen the party.

The local leaders assured that every party worker would work hard for the membership campaign and would never disappoint Imran Khan who leading towards a new Pakistan had proved that corruption and Pakistan cannot go together.

A large number of party workers including women were also present during the meeting. They also assured their full participation in the membership campaign.
