‘Stranger Things’ directors not leaving show, reassures Netflix

LOS ANGELES: For those who are huge fans of Netflix’s Stranger Things, you can rest assured knowing that the directors are not going anywhere, reports Moviefone.

This is according to confirmation by Netflix who refuted rumours that the directors of the series, the Duffer Brothers, will be leaving the series after season three. According to reports, season three will be the last season for the Duffer Brothers, but a statement from Netflix has since put an end to the rumours.

However it might not necessarily be completely false because according to Moviefone, the deal that Netflix has with Matt and Ross Duffer will require them to produce at least two more projects, and apparently this is one of the reasons they might be leaving Stranger Things. It is possible that while the Duffer Brothers might not be leaving Stranger Things, their roles could be reduced where they might no longer direct future seasons, but still be involved, perhaps in a producer role.

In any case until we hear otherwise, know that nothing has changed, at least for now. In the meantime Stranger Things was confirmed to have been renewed for a third season last year, although it seems that its third season will most likely arrive in 2019.
