ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication Wednesday gave last chance to Capital Development Authority (CDA), National Information Technology Board (NIBT) and LMK to resolve their differences regarding the installation of e-services software at CDA.
The committee met under the chairmanship of Senator Shahi Syed, while Senators Abdul Rehman Malik, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Najma Hameed and Dr Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi also attended the meeting.
The body directed the CDA, NIBT and LMK to resolve issues until February 27, otherwise, the case would be transferred to Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).
LMK Resources Pakistan Ltd Director Haroon Sharif briefed the body that three meetings had taken place in the current month in which detailed demonstrations had been given about the software installed. After three demonstration sessions, a meeting was also held with the CDA and NITB to conclude the matter, he added.
He also assured the body that the software would be upgraded according to the requirement of 15-20 per cent changes that had developed in the period of 10 years as the software was prepared in 2008-09.
The CDA official also endorsed the statement of Haroon Sharif and hoped that all issues would be resolved soon as the software was installed on February 8, but a few modifications were required to make it functional.
The FIA director expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of LMK and suggested the body to give a deadline to CDA, LMK and NITB to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
