ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party’s (PPP) senior leader and lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan criticised Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for taking part in the anti-state campaign, started by the disqualified prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif.

While talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), PPP senator said that Nawaz Sharif has turned the PML-N into an ‘abusive brigade’ under his leadership, adding that the PM, who is otherwise a friendly person, is also now taking part in that appalling campaign.

He said that it was better for the PM to not become a part of the anti-state campaign launched by the PM.

Referring to a recent incident in the Indian Supreme Court, he said that neither Modi nor Rahul Gandhi protested when the Indian SC asked whether a thief could become lead a party or not.
