Sindh home minister, others discuss PSL-final security measures

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal on Monday presided over a high-level meeting to discuss security measures for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket match, scheduled to be held in the National Stadium Karachi on March 16.

The meeting was attended by the home secretary, Sindh IG, Karachi Additional IG and law enforcement agencies’ representatives.

Siyal was briefed about the ongoing security preparations and close cooperation between all stakeholders for bringing international and national players from their hotel to the stadium.

On this occasion, Siyal said that the PSL match in the National Stadium Karachi would be a matter of great honour for us.

On the instructions of Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, it is our responsibility to ensure extraordinary security for players and sports officials, he said.

Siyal further said that the PSL match would be a milestone for the return of the international sporting events in the city.
