ISLAMABAD: Security forces on Monday foiled a major terrorist plot in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Islamabad.
According to reports, a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Bajaur Agency to track two suicide bombers entering from Afghanistan through Kagha Pass.
The Afghanistan-based Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists were intercepted near Ghatkai Kaga, Mena Bajaur Agency. They tried to escape but were killed by security forces.
A suicide jacket, anti-tank mines, magnetic mines, remote-controlled improvised explosive devices (IED), remote control receivers, detonators and communication equipment bearing an Afghan mobile company signature were recovered from the suicide bombers.
