Establishment of new Eagle Force currently under consideration: report

QUETTA: Balochistan Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari on Sunday has said that the establishment of a new police force comprising around 1,500 personnel is currently under consideration, as reported by a local English daily.

Addressing the media at the Quetta Press Club, Ansari said that the formation of the ‘Eagle Force’ will eventually strengthen the law enforcement agencies in Balochistan.

According to the Balochistan IG, out of the 1,500 Eagle force personnel, 400 will patrol the streets of Quetta in order to provide security to the people. One motorcycle will be provided to two security personnel along with weapons to patrol the streets, according to the IG.
