LAHORE: A plan is being prepared to create modern flower gardens at all divisional headquarters in Punjab with an estimated amount of Rs301 million.

He said that each garden would be developed on at least 2 to 3 acres of land. The initiative was aimed at bringing a pleasant change in the outlook of the cities, he added.
The provincial minister further said that the officials concerned have been directed to ensure repair of filtration plants in their respective areas.
Water supply pipes were also being repaired and improved. The government had also constituted a Local Government Commission for dealing with various issues.
The commission would work under the local governments’ minister. Local government secretary would be the secretary of the commission as well.
Members of the commission include, Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, Muhammad Nawaz Khan, Fauzia Waqar, Kashif Ali Malik and Ali Zara.
