LAHORE: Former national security adviser (NSA) Muhammad Ali Durrani on Sunday urged the parliamentary leadership and lawyer community to thwart ‘anarchy movement’ launched by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking to media in Lahore, Durrani termed Sharif’s electioneering campaign based on tarnishing the Supreme Court.
He claimed that the justice movement launched by the ruling party can only be interpreted as “suspending the constitution and replacing it with a new contract that bars judiciary to lay judgments against elected hierarchy”.
The movement also implies all those who come into power through ballet would be judged through elections only, he added.
