Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif said Sunday that the echo of the NA-154 Lodhran by-election will be heard on the 2018 General Elections.
He said that every constituency of Pakistan would become a mirror image of the Lodhran by-elections come the general elections. Clearly indicating towards Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Shehbaz said ‘Niazi sahib’ should know very clearly that the final decision was taken by the people during the by-polls, adding that the finger of the third umpire was not raised on the occasion.
Addressing a gathering of public representatives and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers, CM Shehbaz said the PML-N government had won the hearts of the people through public service, adding that the measures taken by the incumbent government had wooed the public as the government initiated historic projects in the education, health, agriculture and other sectors.
He also said the country was moving steadily on the path of economic revolution and would achieve self-reliance soon. He said the PML-N government had taken effective measures for the social and economic uplift of the country by creating new economic opportunities for the masses.
Moreover, the chief minister said the PML-N government kept its focus on public service amid false allegations. He said PML-N had resolved the energy crisis in the country by putting an end to load-shedding.
He further said that politics was the name of serving the nation with honesty and dedication. He said that his party would only engage in politics of public service as there was no room for politics of allegations in the country.
