Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, who are among Bollywood’s tallest female actors and taller than most of their male co-stars have often had to appear shorter to fulfill the well-entrenched gender roles in our society.
However, Amitabh Bachchan, took to Twitter to share his application for the job of being their hero. Sharing the photo of an article whose headline read, ‘Deepika, Kat too tall for Shahid, Aamir,‘ Bachchan wrote, “Job Application:

Bachchan’s witty response was to the article which detailed on how heroines like Deepika and Katrina have often had to face issues because of their co-stars being shorter than them.
Deepika, who is much taller than Shahid Kapoor, faced this problem in Padmaavat and now Katrina and Aamir are facing the same issues in Thugs of Hindostan.
Bachchan, on the other hand, has often spoken about how his height was an impediment when he started working in the Bollywood. “Too thin and too tall,” is how filmmakers dismissed him when Bachchan was trying to make his debut in the industry.
Deepika has worked with Bachchan in Piku while Katrina is all set to appear with him in Thugs of Hindostan. Both the actors haven’t commented on Bachchan’s application as yet.
