Case registered against policeman for allegedly assaulting woman

PESHAWAR: A case was registered against a policeman for allegedly assaulting a woman at Sarai Saleh police station in Haripur.

According to an FIR that was registered against sub-inspector Aqeedat Shah, the alleged survivor said that the vehicle was stopped at midnight on February 14.

The FIR further states that the policeman asked her daughter and her driver to get out of the car and then made sexual advances at her.

According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Salahuddin Mehsud, the said sub-inspector has been arrested and would be presented before the local court.

Earlier, another elite force policeman was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a 15-year-old boy in Haripur.

According to the survivor, the officer had made a video while he raped him, and used it to blackmail him afterwards.
