ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will lead a seven-member parliamentary delegation on February 19 on a three-day bilateral visit to Belarus.
Ayaz, along with the delegation, would utilise their time in Belarus by meeting their peers. He would also hold meetings with the political and business leaders of the country during the visit.
According to the media wing of NA, the Pakistani delegation would focus more on improving bilateral exchanges and highlight opportunities to strengthen existing ties between both the countries.
The press release further stated that the main objectives of the visit revolved around intermingling of parliamentarians from both the countries, and to enhance ties in trade, culture, education and business to ensure people-to-people contact.
The delegation would comprise of Ayaz Sadiq, members of National Assembly (MNAs) Zeb Jaffer, Ghous Bux Khan Mahar, Engineer Hamidul Haq Khalil, Bilal Rehman, Ijaz Hussain Jakhrani and Nasir Khan.
Earlier, Pakistan House held a conference on “China, Pakistan and Russia: Regional Stability and Dividends for Peace” in a bid to identify common grounds between Pakistan, China and Russia in an effort to enhance regional integration through communication networks.
The participants observed that Russia could act as an alternative to Western countries by supplying Pakistan with fuel and military equipment. Regarding China’s role in the region, they said that the country provided economic stability in the region and could prove beneficial to Pakistan’s interests in the future.
