ISLAMABAD: The matter of cross-questioning prosecution witness Station House Officer (SHO) Khalid Mehmood in Tayyaba torture case will be decided on Monday (January 19) in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

A single bench of IHC, presided over by Justice Amir Farooq, took up for hearing the Tayyaba torture case. SHO Mehmood appeared in the court in person.

The advocate general requested the court to make Tayyaba disappearance report No 201 a part of the record and also urged the bench to cross-examine the SHO.

On this, the court remarked that it would see on the next hearing if the report would be included in the record or not. The court also wondered why the report was not produced during previous proceedings by the authorities concerned. The matter of cross-questioning SHO Mehmood again would also be decided at the next hearing.
