Govt banned JuD, FIF to appease US, India: Hafiz Saeed

LAHORE: Ameer Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Friday blamed politicians and rulers for violating the law to express themselves peacefully.

While delivering a Friday sermon, he said, “Everyone is trying to please external forces. Educational institutes, ambulances, hospitals and other assets of JuD have been taken by Government over Indian and American pressure.”

“A few days ago, a presidential ordinance was passed that the US declared persons and entities as terrorist would also be considered terrorists in Pakistan. These organisations should be banned in the country after this ordinance. Our crime is that we are a hurdle in the way of the fascinating agenda of the western forces. We do not accept the narrative of enemies of Islam and want to unite the Muslims on Kitab-o-Sunnah,” he added.

“In the past, the US demanded its ‘do more’ mantra. Now, India is also asking for the same. The Indian government is trying to seize the educational institutes and assets of the JuD. The US is also demanding an action against the JuD. It is lamentable that our rulers are obeying the external forces,” he said.

“Today, a presidential ordinance has been passed to seize the assets of JuD. In the future, the external forces would implement the same ordinance on Pakistan. They will say that Pakistan’s atomic programme is a threat to India and Israel, therefore this programme should be given in international custody. We expose the enemy’s plots in front of the world and that is why they want to silence us,” said Saeed.

He advised the workers to act with patience and said, “Seizure of our schools, seminaries, hospitals, ambulances, and dispensaries is regrettable.”

The JuD chief also criticised the rulers for changing their fixed narrative over Kashmir.
