McCullum purchases tickets for Qalandars squad as Lahore playoffs passes go on sale online


LAHORE – Lahore Qalandars captain Brendon McCullum has purchased the tickets for his entire playing squad and team management, after tickets for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 Lahore playoffs scheduled for March 20 and 21 went on sale online on on Thursday.

While delivery for the Lahore playoff tickets will begin in March, according to the ticketing website, the Qalandars captain is displaying his renowned anticipation skills by booking the tickets for the squad early, as the side plan to watch the first two playoffs from the stands.

Insiders confirm that McCullum has purchased tickets from different enclosures as the princes are expected to range from Rs1,000 for a General Enclosure to Rs6,000 for a seat in the VIP enclosures.

“Squad members would be given their tickets according to their performances in the group stages of the PSL,” a Qalandars squad member confirmed while talking to The Dependent.

While many analysts are interpreting this move as McCullum planning ahead for a three-peat of the Lahore franchise missing out on the playoffs, others suggest differently.

“It could also mean that McCullum is confident the Qalandars would win the first playoff, the first qualifier, in Dubai and hence would directly play the final in Karachi,” suggested a leading cricket analyst wishing anonymity citing the sensitivity of the matter.
