KSA ambassador meets COAS, discuss regional security situation, training mission

RAWALPINDI: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Ambassador, Mr Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Head Quarters (GHQ) here on Thursday.

Matters of mutual interest including the regional security situation were discussed during the meeting.

In continuation of the ongoing Pak-KSA bilateral security cooperation, a Pakistan Army contingent is being sent to KSA on a training and advisory mission. These troops or the ones already there will not be employed outside KSA. Pak Army maintains bilateral security cooperation with many other GCC/regional countries.

Furthermore, a delegation of journalists from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Hazara Division visited the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday as well.

“The delegation apprised ISPR Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor about media efforts in their areas,” said a press release.

The ISPR DG appreciated their contributions and assured them of his complete support.
