Another case of alleged extrajudicial killing emerges in Karachi

KARACHI: Another case of an alleged extrajudicial killing emerged in Karachi on Thursday after a young clothes merchant, Moosa, was found dead with torture marks on the body near Superhighway.

The complainant, Ibrahim, said that his brothers, Moosa and Essa, were arrested by police officers in uniform and in civil clothes from their house in Malir a couple of days ago.

However, Moosa’s dead body was found near Northern Bypass on Superhighway with torture marks on his body.

Amid the absence of the Medico-Legal Officer, the body was transferred to Civil Hospital, where it was confirmed that the deceased was subjected to severe physical torture, Ibrahim claimed.

“My brother has been murdered extrajudicially and we will not be silenced until we get justice,” he said.

The case has emerged after the alleged extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud whose primary suspect SSP Rao Anwar still remains a fugitive.
