ISLAMABAD: Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources Development (OPMHRD) will send ten registered workers to perform free of cost Hajj this year.

An official told APP here on Wednesday that the workers will be selected through balloting and the selection would be made among those working in capital-based factories and establishments.

As per the criteria, the minimum age for the applying workers should be 40 years.

They should be registered through Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) or Employees Social Security Institutions (ESSI) and must be covered under the definition of workers as per IRA-2017. A worker is also required to submit an affidavit that he/she has not performed a Hajj before.

The WWF will pay the expenses as per the announced Hajj Policy 2018. Complete applications should be sent to the WWF Assistant Director’s head office.

In case a selected worker does not avail the policy, he/she will not be entitled to receive the amount and subsequently the next waiting candidate in the list will be asked to avail the opportunity to perform Hajj.

The decision of WWF will be final and cannot be challenged in any case.
