LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed the district judiciary of Punjab to get rid of all unnecessary records of civil and criminal cases of all forms, as reported by a local English daily.
This was mentioned in a directive issued by the Directorate of District Judiciary of the LHC to all district & sessions judges of the province to this effect on behalf of Chief Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali.
It stated that under the LHC rules and orders, the record of some civil criminal cases is required to be destroyed after a specific period of time, adding that rules and regulations have not been implemented for quite some time now.
