Ayesha is truly living up to what we call the New York dream. But amidst all the fanfare and excitement, Ayesha also took a moment to remember the late actor Qazi Wajid. Omar wrote that the news of his death “made my heart stop for a second, shook me up and made me come right back to reality, the reality of the fragility and preciousness of life.”

She remembered him as being “jolly, comical, and spreading love and his amazing energy, along cracking some witty jokes and finding humour in every moment.”

Lastly, she thanked “Qazi Sahab for all that you added to my life, in all the ways you made it better, for all that we learnt from you and all that you have left behind. You went too soon…but you live in our hearts forever…RIP and May Allah bless your soul.”
