Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar welcomed the appearance of Punjab Chief Minister with a feeling that “Shehbaz Sharif will be the next prime minister of Pakistan”.
As Shehbaz appeared before the court both executives indulged in a pleasant dialogue amind touches of laughter.
Addressing to Shehbaz, the chief justice remarked that whoever comes to power [after general elections 2018] should seriously consider making Mian sahib [Shehbaz] the prime minister, to which Shehbaz replied: “ap meri naukri ky peechy kyun pary hain” (why are you after my job)?.
With good wishes for Shehbaz in heart, the CJP further remarked that “I assure you, there will be free and fair elections in the country from now on. I keep repeating this.”
However, the CJP—despite wishing to see Shehbaz as the next PM—admonished Shehbaz Sharif-led government over the extrajudicial killings, poor state of health sector, and polluted drinking water in the province.
