LAHORE: Cold weather intensified in Lahore intensified on Monday as the metropolis received light rain.
The downpour significantly dropped the temperature following the rainfall in various localities including Iqbal Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Faisal Town, Model Town, Jail Road, Canal Road and Gulberg.
According to Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD), the city is likely to receive more rainfall for next 24 hours.
“A westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to grip upper and central parts of the country during Sunday and may persist till Monday,” the Met department said.
The PMD has also forecast rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions), Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, besides at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, D.G.Khan, Multan, Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions.
