ISLAMABAD:Â Amendments to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Ordinance will be presented before the National Assembly on Monday, as reported by a local English daily.
Barring the appointment of non-civil servants as the chairman, vice chairman and member finance of the civic agency, the federal cabinet recently approved the amendments to the CDA ordinance.
According to the recent amendments, the post of chairman will only be reserved for civil servants and not the CDA employees. President Mamnoon Hussain promulgated the ordinance on Jan 11, after approval of the cabinet on January 10.
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry is expected to present the ordinance before the National Assembly as required by Article 89 of the Constitution, in order to make it a law within 120 days.
