Khuhro sees internal differences in MQM-P

LARKANA: Sindh Minister for Food Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said on Sunday that MQM-Pakistan is facing internal difference as its Rabita Committee and its chief are taking different decisions.

“How can those, who are not united, serve the people?” he asked while addressing the concluding session of Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries and Agriculture Exhibition held at Municipal Stadium. He said that Nawaz Sharif proved to be a thief and Imran Khan proved himself in hiding his weddings.

He further claimed that PPP is the champion of people’s rights and democracy.

“People will vote in its favour in the upcoming elections. Imran Khan will face a defeat, even in KPK,” he said.

He repeated his allegation that Nawaz Sharif, after giving NRO to Pervaiz Musharraf, also allowed him to go abroad. He also claimed that Imran Khan’s first mistake was his support for Musharraf’s referendum and his second mistake was cursing the parliament. Khuhro said that the people would not make the mistake of voting in Imran’s favour.

He said that anti-PPP forces were discriminatory and their criticism would not affect them. “Industrial zone would be established in Ratodero as CPEC is crossing it. I will talk to the higher authorities in this connection to include Ratodero in CPEC,” Khuhro said.

He further said that fairs like Shahar-e-Benazir Festival should be held in every district so that a healthy society could be developed. He added that his party saved their cities and towns by sacrificing the precious lives of its members while fighting terrorists and dacoits so that people could take a sigh of relief but some opponents were working hard to defame his party.

Meanwhile, he expressed his grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned human rights activist Asma Jahangir and said that she was indeed an outspoken lawyer who believed in the rule of law and democracy. The country has lost a leader who always raised her voice against the violation of people’s fundamental rights and her struggle will always be remembered, he added.
