WASHINGTON: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the United States (US) on Friday night about its plans on keeping its troops in Afghanistan.

While addressing a press conference, the PPP chairman said that the US should let Pakistan know of its plans as the country is directly affected by the situation in Afghanistan.

Bilawal reiterated that terrorism and extremism are issues that all the countries will have to deal together and that Islam should not be linked to terrorism.

He said that Pakistan carried out successful operations in North and South Waziristan, agencies in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, to curb terrorism.

The PPP chairman said that all these efforts by Pakistan have resulted in a decline of 70% over the past decade.

He added that the world did not get to know about the accomplishments however, because of the fact that the country had no foreign minister for the last four years.

Bilawal said that the only party that could make Pakistan prosperous was PPP adding that the party will consider coalition talks after the general elections and not before.
