ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 14 outlaws, including four drug pushers and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that Sub-Inspector Azhar Mehmud, Muhammad Iqbal and Imtiaz from Bhara Kau police station arrested Sajawal, Rashid and Rashid Mehmud and recovered a total of 225 grams of heroin and 110 grams of hashish from them.
Sub-Inspector Alamgir Khan from Shalimar police station arrested Waqas for having 520 grams of hashish while ASI Zafar Iqbal from Noon police station nabbed Waqar Khan for possessing a 9mm pistol.
ASI Akhtar Iqbal from Shamas Colony police station arrested Aamir Sohail for having a 30 bore pistol while ASI Iftikhar Ali from Khana police station nabbed Javed and recovered Rs 10,000 from him which he had accumulated through snatching.
ASI Mehdi Khan from Khana police arrested four people for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. They have been identified as Shabana, Rani, Rifat and Akram.
Cases have been registered against all nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
