KARACHI/LAHORE/ISLAMABAD – The investors of Pakistan film Pari have confirmed that their investment was ‘genuinely’ scary.

Talking to The Dependent, the investors in Pakistan’s ‘first horror film’ of the ‘revival era’ said that the movie has ‘scared the living daylights out of them’.

“It doesn’t get scarier than not seeing your investment make it through the first weekend in many multiplexes,” said an investor of Pari wishing anonymity citing the sensitivity of the matter.

“Pari has left me horrified. It is genuinely the scariest thing that I have ever seen, felt or witnessed in front of me. It might take me a lifetime to recover from the shocks,” said another investor.

It is not just the investors, the cinemas around the country have also confirmed that Pari is a ‘genuine horror production’.

“The numbers it posted on the first couple of days of its release were absolutely scary,” said a Lahore based cinema owner off the record.

“Also, the film’s consistency can be gauged from the fact that the same is true for pretty much any cinema across the country.”

According to reports, the film’s investors have decided to issue a written complaint to the censor boards, questioning why such a gory production was allowed to screen in the country.
