Police foil terror bid in Hyderabad, recover remote controlled bomb

HYDERABAD: Intelligence agencies and police conducted an operation in Abdullah Villas, Qasimabad, on Monday night and recovered a remote controlled bomb.

Bomb disposal squad defused the bomb after an effort of one hour, avoiding a major catastrophe. Police sources said that five kilogramme explosive material was used in the bomb.

According to Qasimabad Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ghulam Shabbir, the operation was conducted in the area on a tip-off, and the bomb was recovered from a house.

He further informed that no arrest was made from the spot.
