LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi on Monday stressed that the Kashmir issue should be resolved as per the desires of the Kashmiris by implementing the United Nations’ resolutions.
In a message issued by the PML-Q, the party leaders said the great sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris to secure their right to self-determination would not go in vain and the PML-Q like the rest of the nation is standing with them.
The party leaders further said the people of the Indian-occupied Kashmir were waiting for the fulfillment of the promises that India made at the UN. Instead of giving them the right to self-determination, the Indian forces in the occupied Kashmir were using oppressive tactics and force against the innocent Kashmiris, they added.
They said that the fundamental rights of the Kashmiris were being flagrantly violated, and even women, children and elders were being subjected to oppression so that their voice could be suppressed, but they would not rest till they are free from the shackles of India.
The message further stated that democratic and peace-loving people of the entire world should raise their voice to save the people of the India-held Kashmir from oppression and violence.
