FAISALABAD: State Minister for Power Abid Sher Ali claimed on Sunday that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is trying to buy ‘conscience [of lawmakers] with money.’
While addressing the media, Sher Ali said that the former president has once again started the trend of buying lawmakers for votes.
He slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PML-N) Chairman Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed, saying all the thieves are now in it together to conspire against the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N).
Dismissing Imran’s claims of using government helicopters; Sher Ali said that there are pictures of the PTI leader to prove that he indeed used the helicopters.
He lauded the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a probe started by the watchdog, into the alleged misuse by Imran.
In January it was reported that the Khyber Pakhtunkwa government spent millions of rupees on Imran’s use of the provincial government’s helicopters.
NAB Chairman Javed Iqbal on Friday directed for an inquiry to be conducted into the matter and find out if and why the Chief Minister Khatak’s helicopter was used by someone else.
