NAWABSHAH: A First Information Report (FIR) against murder was registered on Sunday against six police officials on the instruction of Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Sajid Amir Suddozai at Daulatpur Police Station.
Earlier the relatives of murdered young man, Mahram, staged a demonstration and blocked National Highway near Daulatpur due to which vehicles were stranded on both sides of the Highway.
The residents of village Jan Brohi said that the murdered young man was a driver and residing in the said village.
They said that the police contingent led by Station House Officer (SHO) Daulatpur forced its entry and opened fire at the house on the information of hiding of criminal in which Mahram was killed on the spot. Later, after deliberation between police and villagers, SSP ordered registration of FIR while protesters lifted the blockade.
Daulatpur Police on the complaint of deceased’s uncle, Ali Hassan Brohi, registered FIR under sections 302, 452, 147, 148 of the Pakistan Penal Code and started the investigation.
However, no arrest has been made so far.
