- Commiserates death of columnist Hassan Nisar’s mother
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the death of a 20-year-old biker, whose throat was slit by a kite string in Neekapur area of Sialkot, and sought a report from Sialkot DPO.
DSP city and SHO of the Neekapur police station were suspended as per orders of the chief minister. He also directed that a departmental action is taken against the suspended officers whose negligence resulted in the loss of a precious human life, and further added that the ban on kite-flying should be implemented strictly.
He also said that stern legal action should be taken against the violators.
The chief minister expressed grief and sorrow over the incident and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow on the death of senior journalist and columnist Hassan Nisar’s mother.
While commiserating with the bereaved family in his condolence message, CM prayed that may the Almighty bless the departed soul with eternal peace and give patience to lamenting family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
