JI deputy chief says Kashmir jugular vein of Pakistan

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Deputy Chief Hafiz Muhammad Idrees has said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and none of the Kashmiris had ever accepted it as a part of India.

Addressing a seminar on Kashmir solidarity at Al-Hamra on Saturday, he said that the Kashmiris were observing India’s independence day and republic day as black day, which reflected their hatred for India.

He went on to say that the Pakistani flag was being unfurled all over India held Kashmir and the Kashmiris were burying their martyrs in the Pakistani flag to show their desire to be a part of Pakistan. He added that some countries were considering Kashmir a part of India which reflected their strong bias and inhumane mindset.

However, he said that the Pakistani leaders were also to be blamed for that.

Idrees also said that it was unfortunate that Indian embassies and foreign office were successful in projecting their false stance as truth, while the Pakistani institutions were unable to project their just stance due to their apathy towards the Kashmiris.

The JI deputy chief was, however, sure that Kashmir would be free soon.  He said that the late Qazi Husain Ahmed had done a great service to the Kashmir cause by declaring February 5 as Kashmir solidarity day.

Meanwhile, JI Spokesman Ameerul Azeem said that the Kashmir Solidarity Day would be observed on February 5 with full enthusiasm and the JI chief Senator Sirajul Haq would lead the Kashmir rally in the federal capital.

According to the schedule, JI Deputy Chief Mian Muhammad Aslam and JI parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Sahibzada Tariqullah would also join the JI chief, whereas JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch will lead the rally at Lahore.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees will lead the rally at Sialkot while Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha will lead the rally at Sargodha.

Hafiz Sajid Anwar will lead the rally at Sheikhupura, Syed Waqas Anjum Jaafery at Sahiwal, Azhar Iqbal Hassan at Gujranwala and Mian Maqsood Ahmed will lead the rally at Multan.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan will lead the Peshawar rally, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim will lead the rally at Swat and Dr Khalid Mehmud will lead the rally at Muzaffarabad.

Furthermore, in Sindh, Asadullah Bhutto and Hafiz Naeemur Rehman will lead the Karachi rally whereas Rashid Naseem will lead at Sukkur while Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui will lead the Hyderabad rally. The Quetta rally will be led by Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi.

Amirul Azeem said that preparations for the day were in full swing and banners and placards had been prepared.
